10 Cool Features You Should Know About WordPress 4.4

In this post, we will be looking at cool new features that have come up in WordPress 4.4. Let’s go ahead and check them out:

  1. Embed Posts Anywhere
WordPress has now adopted the feature of Embed that allowed the developers to embed content on the website like YouTube video. Just by grabbing a post and dropping it on the website can embed the post. Cool, isn’t it?
  1. Work with Responsive Images
With the new WordPress, now developers can work with images that are responsive which removes the contribution to slower page loading. With WordPress now supporting responsive images, it helps a lot.
  1. New Theme: Twenty Sixteen
WordPress as usual, has come up with a new theme that is great for blogging or even making a simple website. It now features optional sidebars, custom color options, fluid grid, displaying large images, ability to add intro to post using custom excerpt and other cool features.
  1. Introduction to the REST API
WordPress has now introduced this REST API as its core feature. With this infrastructure, developers will know be able to build their own API for their websites, themes, plugins and etc.

The sub-heading defines its introduction itself. A Meta term that is also featured to taxonomy objects.

If you want to promote something and you were looking for a template that could change the looks of it. WordPress 4.4 now actually features that. With Single Post Template File, you can change post’s appearance to feature it.

The comment box has now been improved with the comment option above and then the information that is required by the website.

With the improvement in this feature, screen readers can now read and navigate the keyboard keys to find information and relevant content.

A new object known as WP_Network has been introduced to interact easily within a multisite network.
  1. Faster Customizer Load Time
One of the best features that I liked about WordPress 4.4 is the 10x faster loading time of the customizer that is used mostly to edit the website by front-end developers.
